NPDES Stormwater Construction General Permit

As required by the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB), construction activity resulting in a land disturbance of 1 acre or more of soil, or whose projects are part of a larger common plan of development that in total disturbs more than 1 acre, required to obtain coverage under the Construction General Permit Order 2009-0009-DWQ adopted on September 2, 2009, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), General Permit No. CAS000002: Waste Discharge Requirements (WDRS) for Discharges of Storm Water Runoff Associated with Construction Activity (General Permit).
Example of a Construction Site
Construction activity subject to the General Permit includes clearing, grading, excavation, stockpiling, and reconstruction of existing facilities involving removal and replacement.
