On December 18, 2014, President Barack Obama signed an Executive Order establishing the President's Task Force on 21st Century Policing. The White House and the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office) took notable steps towards discussing and sharing strategies for implementing the recommendations outlined by the task force to enhance public safety while building trust.
The Task Force developed 59 recommendations built upon the 6 Pillars of Community Policing. Morgan Hill Police Department works to continually improve policies and tactics through our implementation of the 21st Century Policing outline.
