Morgan Hill’s City Council is committed to providing high quality and sustainable services to the entire Morgan Hill community. Fundamental to the City Council’s success is their ongoing priority of protecting the environment.
The Environmental Services Team, which is part of the Community Services Department, manages the City’s residential and business waste disposal services and organics and recycling programs which are franchised to Recology South Valley. Environmental Services also ensures state and federal requirements are met to protect our creeks and prevent stormwater runoff pollutants from entering the storm drain system.

- How do I start garbage service?

- How do I get a voucher for the dump?
- How do I get a debris box?
- What if I have too much yard waste for my bin?
Recycling Right in Morgan Hill
Recycling the right way is more important now than ever. Markets for recyclables have changed and the processors are requiring cleaner material. Just because you put something in your recycling cart doesn’t mean it gets recycled. Even worse, it can contaminate a load of otherwise recyclable materials. Recycling only works when it’s done right!
Visit the Recycle Stuff website to find out where just about anything can be donated, reused or recycled.
